Some Accounting Careers
Here are just a few career options in accounting:

* Public Practice – It is a very good idea to start your accounting career as a public accountant. Public accountants work in partnerships and offer their accounting skills and services to governments, businesses and even individuals. However, you must be a certified public accountant in order to practice as an individual or as a member in a public accounting firm. A public accountant’s roles and responsibilities include: taxation, auditing and management advisory services. Public accounting provides many excellent opportunities to achieve business success, and these are all multifaceted.
* Education – Accountants are also hired as professors, researchers or even reviewers. Such accountants ensure that there is constant development in the professions. They make efforts by clearing out and facing emerging problems and issues by first researching and then distributing the end results to all and sundry.
* Commerce and Industry – Any organization, whether large or small, has an elite accounting group. This accounting group will organize and prepare the financial statements, keep track of all the costs, take care of any tax issue and will work on all the international transactions. In such companies, over a period of time, a person may be hired as a vice president for the finance department of the company. Other designations include: cost accountants, chief accountants, budget officer or internal auditor. The scope and responsibilities of the field of accounting vary greatly depending on the level of the position and size of the company.
* Government Service – Accountants working for government services work either at the state level or at the federal level. Government accountants put together and manage the budgets, analyze programs and keep track of government costs.

So, these are a few myriad opportunities in the field of accounting. But it is important to keep in mind that success does not always go hand in hand with accounting. If you are determined to be successful, you have to work twice as hard to achieve it.
